Dus mahavidhya course
The Das Mahavidyas (also spelled as Dus Mahavidyas) are a group of ten goddesses or manifestations of the Divine Feminine in Hinduism. These ten goddesses represent various aspects of the Supreme Goddess or Adi Parashakti. Each Mahavidya is a symbol of a specific aspect of power, wisdom, and cosmic knowledge. The worship of these Mahavidyas is prevalent in certain sects of Hinduism, particularly in Tantra.
The ten Mahavidyas are:
Kali: The fierce and powerful form of the goddess representing time, destruction, and transformation.
Tara: Symbolizes compassion and helps in overcoming difficulties and obstacles.
Tripura Sundari (or Shodashi): Represents beauty and the ultimate harmony in creation.
Bhuvaneshwari: The goddess of space, representing cosmic space and the entire universe.
Bhairavi: The fierce and terrifying aspect of the goddess, associated with destruction and annihilation of negative forces.
Chinnamasta: Depicted as a self-decapitated goddess, representing self-sacrifice and the transformative power of sexual energy.
Dhumavati: The widow goddess symbolizing the aspect of emptiness and loss, but also liberation and detachment from material desires.
Baglamukhi: Represents the power of control and restraint, capable of turning negative situations in one's favor.
Matangi: The goddess of inner harmony, music, and speech.
Kamala: Symbolizes abundance, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment.
